A Miami-native with a Cuban background, Erika has a diverse approach to food. She combines the rich flavors of her abuela's kitchen with the fresh ingredients of South Florida to create unforgettable meals that truly nourish. 

Discovering her passion for wellness, Erika began taking university courses in Nutrition at Florida International University, while running a recipe blog "Feisty Fresh Eats" that allowed her to showcase her favorite dishes. Shortly thereafter, she was hired as a Healthy Eating Specialist and Culinary Instructor for Whole Foods Market, where she taught several nutrition-based workshops, reaching hundreds of people throughout the county.

Hoping to further her education in nutrition as well as at the stove, Erika attended the Chef's Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health & Culinary Arts in New York City. After graduating, Erika interned with Chef Anita Lo at Annisa restaurant before returning to Miami.
